The digital transformation of financial infrastructure in Ireland continues to accelerate at pace, with increased investment, educational initiatives and even the COVID-19 pandemic providing businesses with the opportunity to integrate new technologies into operations.

The Fintech Corridor is excited to play a role in providing business across the island of Ireland with the means to make the most of this opportunity and successfully negotiate the digital transformation. FUSE, the recently launched mentoring programme by The Fintech Corridor was designed to support this goal; supporting promising businesses in the financial services industry and equipping them with the tools to grow their operations by connecting them with the leadership team at PayPal Dundalk.

Building on the success of this programme, The Fintech Corridor is excited to share the appointment of two new members to its advisory board: Michelle McGuire and Jill Robb. Michelle and Jill bring a wealth of experience from the financial services industry and will play a significant role in The Fintech Corridor’s goal of enabling the digital transformation of financial services across the island of Ireland.

Michelle is Chief Executive Officer at GECKO Governance, a cutting-edge RegTech system for financial institutions, and a deeply experienced compliance and risk professional with 15 years of experience in senior positions in financial services industries including banking and fund administration. During her time in the industry, Michelle has also been a member of a number of working groups, developing standards in AML, data protection and regulation.

With over 15 years of experience in digital marketing and strategy, Jill brings deep domain expertise to the board in developing sound go to market strategies for FinServ sector clients globally including the UK, Ireland, and North America. A Co-Director of Origin, a full-service digital agency based in Holywood, Northern Ireland, Jill is also an Associate Lecturer for Ulster University, co-delivering the Masters in Digital Media, Communication and Leadership.

Simon Bailie, Chairperson at The Fintech Corridor, commented, “We are proud to further expand the advisory board and appoint two industry leaders in their respective domains to the board. Michelle and Jill bring considerable pedigree to the board and will add considerable depth to the board in the areas of compliance and digital marketing. These appointments will enable us to continue building towards our goal of supporting the growth of businesses in the financial services industry across the island of Ireland.
